Built at the intersection of medicine, data, and software

Siena exists because healthcare's hardest problems aren't purely clinical, purely statistical, or purely technical. They're all three at once. The practice is led by Eri Osta, MD, MS in Artificial Intelligence, a physician with graduate training in applied AI.

Our mission

Help healthcare organizations gain greater insight into their patients so they can personalize care experiences, improve outcomes, and advance health equity, all while reducing cost.

How we work

Engagements are led personally, with specialist associates brought in when the work calls for it. Direct communication, no rotating bench, and scope built around a measurable result. We'd rather ship something that changes a clinical workflow than deliver a deck.

What we believe

Data should serve patients, not the other way around. Privacy and compliance are design inputs, not paperwork. And fairness is something you measure: subgroup performance you validate and monitor, not a claim you make once.

Who we serve

Health systems, digital health companies, research groups, and public health organizations: anyone accountable for outcomes and sitting on underused data.

Eri Gabriel Osta

Eri is a physician and applied AI researcher. Eri earned an MD from the Long School of Medicine and an MS in Artificial Intelligence from the College of AI, Cyber and Computing, both at the University of Texas at San Antonio, following a BS in microbiology from Texas State University.

The research focus is building and validating machine learning and natural language processing systems for clinical imaging. Current work covers automated longitudinal lesion tracking from serial oncologic reports using retrieval-augmented large language models, supported by a grant from the RSNA Research & Education Foundation. Earlier work developed explainable machine learning models for risk stratification in metabolic liver disease, supported by a Texas Health Catalyst Pioneer Award.

Published in Scientific Reports, RadioGraphics, Cancer Medicine, and the Journal for ImmunoTherapy of Cancer. Member of the RSNA and the ACR. Also the founder of HepaticMD, a clinical prediction platform for metabolic liver disease risk stratification, disclosed here because Siena's advisory work is otherwise vendor-neutral.

Based in Austin, Texas. Full list of published work .
